CORVETTES OF FRESNO - GENERAL MEETING MINUTES<br />
January 15, 2013<br />
CALL TO ORDER: President Ron Miller is on vacation. Bert Sherman called the meeting to order at 7:05<br />
pm. Board Members present were, Bert Sherman, Kelly Holder, Harry Bellow, Jim Agar and Larry & Sharon<br />
Minnich. WSCC Representative, Allen Teixeira, and ASCCC Representative, Lee Delap, were both present.<br />
Pledge of alliance was shared.<br />
SECRETARY IS REPORT: Minutes of the November 2012 meeting were published in the COF newsletter.<br />
Motion to accept the minutes as published, but not read made by Billie Talley, seconded by Jackie Christani.<br />
Motion carried.<br />
October minutes are available upon request from Ron Miller.<br />
TREASURER’S REPORT: Larry Minnich reported the accounts activity, General Account and the Tahoe 45<br />
Account which is on file to be reviewed by members only. Motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s report<br />
as read made by Dave Cavanaugh and seconded by Lynn Agar. Motion carried.<br />
MEMBERSHIP: COF has a current membership count of 96 members and 75 corvettes. Harry Below<br />
reported attendance at for this evening’s meeting: 49 members and 8 guests. Clay & Lan Mumby, Richard<br />
Beatie, Walt Shocomb, Diane & Gary Huss and Tom & Teresa Ochoa. January birthdays and anniversaries<br />
were acknowledged. All birthdays and anniversaries can be found in the COF 2013 Membership Directory<br />
(which is now available). Perfect Attendance plaques were awarded to Jim Agar, Nick DiLiddo, Kerry Dehmel,<br />
Jerry Clark (not present to receive), Sharon Minnich, Larry Minnich, Ron Miller (not present to receive), Don<br />
Dukes, Debbie Dukes and Bert Sherman.<br />
COMMUNICATIONS: Jim Agar announced this month’s newsletter was 20 pages printed and 40 on the web.<br />
Friday is the submission deadline for the next newsletter. Tahoe 45 is pretty much finalized. Next meeting will<br />
be held in May. A Christmas card was received from Minnesota club members which had their photo in front of<br />
the COF Tahoe 44 banner. Jim presented a Special Addition Newsletter for the new release of the 2014<br />
Corvette Stingray. Appreciated was expressed for Jim’s outstanding service and commitment to the Club.<br />
WEBMASTER: Janie Stafford reported the C Drive had crashed and no reports are available. Frank Stafford<br />
(not present) had backed up the files and is working on restoring the Drive.<br />
ACTIVITIES: Please refer to the Calendar of Events in the club newsletter or on the Club website,<br />
www.corvettesoffesno.com for more details and up to date information. Bert Sherman opened a brief discussion<br />
on events.<br />
• Billie Talley commented on 2012 Christmas Party stating there was 60+ in attendance. We all enjoyed<br />
the live band and delicious food at Pardini’s. She thanked Liz Devoe for all her help with the<br />
decorations, centerpieces and ornaments.<br />
• A brief report was given by Bert Sherman on the Holiday Extravaganza run in December. We had 22<br />
cars and 42 in attendance to the Melodrama. We are sorry Billie could not make it, but appreciate her<br />
donation of Champaign. We also thank Terri & Dave Cavanaugh for graciously opening their home<br />
serving lunch and thanks to Emil & Sue (non-members) for helping out. A special thanks also to Rotta<br />
Winery for a great wine tasting presentation.<br />
• Jim Agar spoke about Tahoe 45 reminding all about the $100 Early Bird Registration drawing for<br />
payments received by the end of April 2013. Sponsors for plaque’s ($25) and raffle prizes needed.<br />
