eport alumni Letter from the President of the Law Review Alumni Association In case you missed it last time (or the time before): THANK YOU!! For all who have given and continue to give to the Law Review Endowment Fund, we cannot thank you often enough for your support. Despite the recent economic downturn, we are pressing forward and making tremendous strides toward our goal to provide stipends for the law review editors. We’d also like to thank everyone who attended the law review dinner this spring, the various symposia, and the recent 20 th anniversary celebration. For those of you who were unable to attend any or all of these events, we do realize that many times there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Whether it’s work or family, we understand the demands on your time, really we do, which is why it means so much when we get to see you out and about. If you were able to attend even a single event, your participation as an alumnus has been key to the success of the Texas Wesleyan Law Review Alumni Association and has facilitated its growth over the last few years. As part of this growth, we are reinventing the LRAA and fi nding new ways to support the law review. Monitor your e-mail and visit our web site (law.txwes.edu) for updates on how you can get involved with the law review community. More importantly, give us your feedback and tell us if you might be interested in the day-to-day planning process of future alumni events. In the meantime, you can participate RIGHT NOW — the law review needs your help in identifying hot new legal topics and noteworthy case law. They also need mentors, so please speak up if you would be interested in mentoring a law review member in your area of expertise. Faciane ’02 Scott Faciane ’01 Federico Fraccaroli ’05 Joey Fritts ’02 Jessica Sharma Graham ’04 Alumni sworn in before United States Supreme Court Forty-six graduates of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law were sworn in before the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, May 26. Chief Justice John Roberts approved the nomination of each alumnus and welcomed them to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. At a private reception after the swearingin ceremony, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg congratulated and welcomed the alumni to the Supreme Court. Several members of the law school community were in attendance, including Professor Michael Green, who presented the names of each nominee before the justices of the Supreme Court.
