Registration for the 2012-2013 year has closed.<br />

Interested in being a catechist, but unable to make a<br />

weekly commitment? We need substitute catechists!!<br />

When there is a class to cover we will email to check<br />

availability, and provide a lesson plan for that day. If<br />

you are able to help, please contact the Religious Ed<br />

office.<br />

Available both online and in-parish, effectively teaches<br />

the faith to adults so they can live it with greater confidence<br />

and share it with others as part of the New Evangelization.<br />

These five courses also provide the theological<br />

content necessary for catechists to teach the faith to<br />

others. Faith Foundations draws upon and correlates to<br />

the current certification courses: Creed, Sacraments,<br />

Christian Morality, Prayer and Scripture. Approximately<br />

50 hours are needed to complete all five theological content<br />

The archdiocesan Office of Young Adult Ministry is<br />

hosting the 10th Annual 7 <strong>Church</strong> Walk on Saturday,<br />

March 23. Come on pilgrimage without leaving the city!<br />

Join young adults (20s and 30s) for the annual walk/<br />

pilgrimage as we bring a Rome tradition to DC. The day<br />

will begin with Mass at <strong>St</strong>. Patrick’s <strong>Church</strong> (619 10Th<br />

<strong>St</strong>reet, NW) at 9am and will conclude by 4pm at <strong>St</strong>.<br />

Matthew's Cathedral. We will visit seven churches and<br />

enter into different prayer experiences at each visit. Join<br />

us and experience the fullness of the <strong>Church</strong> here in<br />

Washington, DC. What to bring? An open heart, a contemplative<br />

spirit, comfortable walking shoes, plenty of<br />

water and a brown bag lunch (or $ to buy)! Questions?<br />

Youth Group meets every FRIDAY from 7-9pm in the<br />

Russell Room<br />

We desperately need adult volunteers to help on Friday<br />

nights. Please contact Kelsey ASAP. A weekly commitment<br />

is not necessary.<br />

<strong>St</strong>udy Hall - <strong>St</strong>arting in January, there will be a weekly<br />

study hall for high school students. Come for a quiet space<br />

to get work done, or get help with homework!<br />

World Youth Day: Rio 2013<br />

2013 Annual Jubilarian Mass<br />

Cardinal Wuerl will celebrate this annual Mass<br />

honoring couples married 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and<br />

51+ years on Sun., June 16, 2:00pm, at the Basilica<br />

of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.<br />

SUNDAY MAS<br />

Did you know that the Archdiocese of Washington<br />

produces a weekly Sunday TV Mass filmed in the Crypt<br />

<strong>Church</strong> of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the<br />

Immaculate Conception? It is a wonderful ministry for<br />

those members of our <strong>Catholic</strong> family who are unable to<br />

be physically present with a local worshipping community<br />

for the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy. The Mass airs<br />

every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Mass. Check your local<br />

listing for station information.
