<strong>Software</strong> Requirements<br />

Enterprise Application <strong>Software</strong><br />

As already stated, due to the tight inter-relationships between the components of the<br />

Enterprise Application Environment, the following software is required to be installed<br />

concurrently with <strong>Runtime</strong> 3R1A <strong>for</strong> <strong>ClearPath</strong> <strong>OS</strong> <strong>2200</strong>:<br />

• Host Builder 3R1A <strong>for</strong> <strong>ClearPath</strong> <strong>OS</strong> <strong>2200</strong><br />

• Developer 3.1A<br />

Mandatory <strong>Software</strong><br />

Mandatory software <strong>for</strong> running <strong>Runtime</strong> 3R1A <strong>for</strong> <strong>ClearPath</strong> <strong>OS</strong> <strong>2200</strong> includes:<br />

• Operating System Host <strong>Software</strong> – one of the following:<br />

– HMP IX 5.0 (qualified)<br />

– HMP IX 5.1 (supported)<br />

– HMP IX 6.0 (supported*)<br />

• Compilers:<br />

– UCS COBOL (UCOB) 9R1<br />

– UCS C (UC) 7R1<br />

– ASCII COBOL (ACOB) 7R3A<br />

• Database – RDMS <strong>2200</strong> 9R3<br />

• Comms Protocol – CMS 1100 8R4A<br />

* TPM may not be fully supported in <strong>Runtime</strong> 3R1A, but will be fully supported in 3R1B.<br />

Standard HMP IX System <strong>Software</strong><br />

The following software comes as part of the standard HMP IX package:<br />

• COMUS – <strong>for</strong> making changes to the default configuration.<br />

• IPFSQL – <strong>for</strong> using a NOF interface.<br />

• DDP-PPC – <strong>for</strong> using HUB. DDP-PPC in connection with external and interhost<br />

Automatic Entries, which use the HUB mechanism.<br />

• PADS – <strong>for</strong> using Programmer’s Advanced Debugging System to use C++ Compiler<br />

applications (recommended)<br />

• OLTP-TM<strong>2200</strong> – <strong>for</strong> using Online Transaction Processing.<br />

• <strong>OS</strong>I-TP– <strong>for</strong> using OLTP multi-host capability.<br />
