Economic importance: The species is a minor pest in Canada, where it has been<br />
found in flour and feed mills, warehouses, dwellings, and occasionally in grain<br />
samples from granaries. In other regions of the world, it is considered to be a<br />
major or potentially serious pest of stored products, particularly seeds, cereals,<br />
legumes, nuts, and other high-protein food.<br />
