October 22: Field hockey junior Jenna Grossman won her<br />
second NEC Player of the Week award.<br />
Men’s tennis sophomore John Hughes became the first<br />
<strong>Quinnipiac</strong> men’s tennis player to advance to the Round of<br />
32 at the ITA Northeast Regional Tennis Championships.<br />
Women’s tennis sophomore Mary Wilson is the Bobcats’<br />
lone winner at the ITA Northeast Regionals.<br />
October 24: Men’s soccer claimed the top spot in the<br />
NSCAA/North Atlantic Regional Rankings for the first time<br />
this season as they were one of two teams, nationally, to<br />
remain undefeated.<br />
Men’s tennis freshman Brian Mikkelson was honored with<br />
the 2007 Frank Parker Junior Award in recognition of his<br />
play for the men’s tennis team this season. Mikkelson was<br />
selected as the recipient of the USTA award by the Wisconsin<br />
Tennis Association Awards Committee.<br />
Men’s tennis sophomore John Hughes was named the<br />
Prince/NEC Player of the Week.<br />
October 25: The <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> <strong>University</strong> men’s golf team<br />
finished in 17th place out of 42 schools at the 73rd Annual<br />
New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Champion-<br />

October 26: Field hockey juniors Lauren Hartnett and Bonnie<br />
Shea, as well as freshman Megan McCreedy all scored<br />
in field hockey’s 3-1 win over Monmouth on Senior Day.<br />
October 27: Men’s cross country won their second straight<br />
Northeast Conference Championship. Jacob Gurzler finished<br />
1st overall, capturing outstanding performer honors.<br />
Gurzler, Keith Bushey, Terence Moriarty, Tyler Dinnan<br />
received All-NEC honors. Head coach Ed O’Connor was<br />
named NEC Coach of the Year.<br />
Women’s cross country won their third consecutive Northeast<br />
Conference Championship as Kristen Stevens took<br />
first place in the meet to win most outstanding performer<br />
honors. <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> finished with seven runners in the top<br />
14, all receiving all-conference accolades.<br />
October 30: Men’s ice hockey junior David Marshall scores<br />
a power play goal late in the third period to give <strong>Quinnipiac</strong><br />
a 3-2 win over American International.<br />
October 31: Men’s soccer junior Graciano Brito was featured<br />
in Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd.<br />
