December 15: Men’s soccer junior Graciano Brito was<br />

named to the NSCAA/adidas <strong>NCAA</strong> Men’s Division I All-<br />

December 16: Men’s soccer sophomore Freddy Hall received<br />

two <strong>NCAA</strong> Statistical Leader Awards after leading<br />

the country in saves per game and save percentage.<br />

December 18: Senior Leisl Lissfelt and sophomore Sara<br />

Lawlor were named to the New England Women’s Intercollegiate<br />

Soccer Association All-New England Division I<br />

Women’s basketball junior Mandy Pennewell scored 18<br />

points in a 59-49 win over the <strong>University</strong> of Delaware.<br />

December 19: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson<br />

burned Dartmouth for 27 points in a 85-63 romp.<br />

December 21: Volleyball head coach Robin Lamott Sparks<br />

was selected as the Northeast Conference representative<br />

to the American Volleyball Coaches Association <strong>NCAA</strong><br />

Women’s Volleyball Division I Head Coaches Committee.<br />

December 22: Women’s basketball junior Erin Kerner<br />

scored a season-high 25 points to lead <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> to a 70-<br />

60 win over Yale.<br />

December 28: Women’s basketball junior Mandy Pennewell<br />

scored a season-high 23 points as <strong>Quinnipiac</strong><br />

defeated San Diego State, 78-59, in the San Diego Surf N’<br />

Slam tournament. Pennewell and junior Brianna Rooney<br />

were named to the all-tournament team.<br />

December 30: After Kallie Flor tied the game to send it<br />

to overtime, Elyse Cole and Erika Bolognino scored in a<br />

shoot-out to knock off Niagara in the consolation game of<br />

the Nutmeg Classic. The game was recorded as a tie, 3-3.<br />

Men’s ice hockey junior Bud Fisher is named the Most<br />

Valuable Player of the <strong>University</strong> of Vermont’s Catamount<br />

Cup holiday tournament. Dan Travis and Jean-Marc Beaudoin<br />

were also named to the all-tournament team.<br />

JANUARY<br />

January 1: Women’s ice hockey junior Jamie Miller was<br />

named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week.<br />

January 2: Men’s ice hockey’s Bud Fisher is named the<br />

ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week.<br />

January 3: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson<br />

pumped in 19 points as the Bobcats beat Saint Francis (Pa.),<br />

74-61.<br />

Elyse Cole scored the game-winner as the Bobcats beat<br />

Robert Morris, 2-1. Kelley Davis also scored in the win.<br />

January 4: Kallie Flor, Janine Duffy and Erika Bolognino<br />

all scored in a 3-1 win over Robert Morris. The win was the<br />

Bobcats’ second straight.<br />

January 5: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson and<br />

women’s basketball junior Erin Kerner were named the<br />

Eli’s Restaurant/<strong>Quinnipiac</strong> Athletics December Athletes of<br />

the Month.<br />

Women’s basketball junior Erin Kerner scored a career-high<br />

33 points to lead <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> to a 72-66 win over Robert<br />

Morris.<br />

January 6: Jean-Marc Beaudoin scored twice while Dan<br />

Henningson assisted on three goals as men’s ice hockey<br />

staged a come-from-behind win over Dartmouth, 5-3.<br />

January 7: Men’s basketball freshman Justin Rutty was<br />

named the Choice Hotels/NEC Rookie of the Week.<br />

January 10: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson<br />

scored 21 points while pulling in seven rebounds as <strong>Quinnipiac</strong><br />

defeated Mount St. Mary’s, 70-59.<br />

January 11: Men’s ice hockey ties their longest ECAC<br />

Hockey unbeaten streak, eight games, with a 6-3 drubbing<br />

of Dartmouth. The game is also Brandon Wong’s third<br />

straight multi-point game.<br />

January 12: At the Yale Intercollegiate Track Classic, Quin-<br />
