Men’s ice hockey junior goalie Bud Fisher stopped 25 shots in<br />
goal for his third shutout of the season and ninth of his career<br />
as #16 <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> defeated Brown, 3-0.<br />
February 11: Women’s basketball junior Erin Kerner scored<br />
a game-high 27 points and added six assists as <strong>Quinnipiac</strong><br />
defeated Central Connecticut, 72-66. Courtney Kaminski<br />
compiled a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds while<br />
Nicole Duperron added 11 points and eight rebounds.<br />
Women’s ice hockey freshman Tia Wishart was named ECAC<br />
Hockey Goaltender of the Week.<br />
February 13: Five women’s track athletes were named to<br />
the <strong>2008</strong> All-Northeast Conference Women’s Indoor Track<br />
Team. Chelsea Bollerman and Kristen Stevens were named<br />
to the First Team, as well as the Distance Medley Relay team<br />
consisting of Bollerman, Stevens, Elizabeth Arnot and Nicole<br />
Payne. Susan Ashe (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was named to the<br />
Second Team.<br />
February 14: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson<br />
dropped in 24 points as <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> defeated Long Island, 89-<br />
86.<br />
February 16: In a 68-57 win over Mount St. Mary’s, junior<br />
Erin Kerner led the Bobcats with 13 points while junior Brianna<br />
Rooney added 12. Junior Mandy Pennewell had 11 while<br />
sophomore Courtney Kaminski totaled 10. Senior Nicole<br />
Duperron narrowly missed a double-double with nine points<br />
and nine rebounds.<br />
Men’s lacrosse sophomore Garret Kerr scores four goals in the<br />
Bobcats’ 14-4 season opening win over Wagner.<br />
February 18: Women’s basketball senior forward Monique Lee<br />
returned to the <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> lineup after missing five games due<br />
to a torn anterior cruciate ligament to score all 16 of her points<br />
in the second half as the Bobcats staged a come-from-behind<br />
victory, 65-61, at Long Island.<br />
February 21: Bryan Geffen’s three-pointer with 2.6 seconds<br />
remaining in regulation gave <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> a 62-60 win over<br />
Monmouth at the TD Banknorth Sports Center.<br />
February 23: Erin Kerner and Mandy Pennewell scored 17<br />
points apiece as the <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> women’s basketball team<br />
defeated Sacred Heart, 59-48.<br />
February 25: Men’s lacrosse sophomore Garret Kerr scored<br />
with time running out as <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> knocks off St. John’s,<br />
11-10.<br />

Softball senior Jill Viglione and sophomore Katie Allendorfer<br />
were named to the Lance Spring Classic all-tournament<br />
team.<br />
February 26: The <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> men’s basketball team<br />
visited the Bishop Woods School in New Haven, Conn.<br />
as part of the school’s “Boys Night Out” program.<br />
February 27: Men’s and women’s cross country was<br />
honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross<br />
Country Coaches Association as an All-Academic team.<br />
The men posted a 3.17 grade-point-average while the<br />
women finished with a 3.33 GPA.<br />
Women’s lacrosse junior Tiffany Manzi scored four<br />
times to lead <strong>Quinnipiac</strong> to a 16-9 win over Iona in the<br />
Bobcats’ season opener. Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah<br />
Nelson made 14 saves in the win.<br />
February 28: Men’s basketball senior DeMario Anderson<br />
hit “DA Shot” – a half-court buzzer beater – to give the<br />
Bobcats a 76-73 win over Central Connecticut State. The<br />
win was the Bobcats’ first in eight games against CCSU.<br />
“DA Shot” featured later that night as the top play on<br />
ESPN’s SportsCenter Top Ten.
