Problems when establishing a connection<br />

does not answer or a different <strong>de</strong>vice<br />

answers.<br />

Your fax machine is not properly<br />

installed or not properly plugged in.<br />

correspon<strong>de</strong>nts attention to a possible<br />

Check the installation of your fax<br />

You are connected to a PABX system. Check the settings in function 15.<br />

Your fax correspon<strong>de</strong>nt has a fax<br />

machine that cannot receive the usual<br />

standard i<strong>de</strong>ntifying signals.<br />

Change the dialling mo<strong>de</strong> with<br />

function 15.<br />

In Function 15, select PABX: Yes.<br />

Try to send the fax manually: press the<br />

DIAL key and dial the fax number. You<br />

will hear the call being established. If<br />

the receiver is using an automatic<br />

answering machine, wait until you hear<br />

a tone after the prerecor<strong>de</strong>d message<br />

and then press the START key.
