3. DESIGNATION
With the exception of the titles reserved for the FIM Classic Touristic Gatherings,
full freedom is given to organisers to use any new term to express the character
of the event, such as: meeting, concentration, assembly, gathering, etc.
4. DEFINITION OF A TOURISTIC GATHERING
A Touristic Gathering is an event organised with the prime objective of
assembling touring motorcyclists at a point fixed in advance.
5. REGISTRATION AND PUBLICATION OF THE CALENDAR
To register an International Touristic Gathering, the FMNR should announce it to
the FIM before 30 November of the preceding year.
Each year, the FIM will publish in its yearbook, the list of all FIM Classic Touristic
Gatherings and all International Touristic Gatherings registered by the FMNs,
with details relating to their special status or their category, to be held during the
year in the different countries which are under the jurisdiction of the FIM or
FMNs.
6. PARTICIPATION
Each participant in an International Touristic Gathering must be a member of an
FMN either on an individual basis or as a member of a club affiliated to an FMN.
As a general rule, only motorcyclists and passengers of a motorcycle are allowed
to participate. No FIM licence is required.
However, the organiser can admit non-motorcyclists as well.
7. MOTORCYCLES
All types of motorcycles authorised by road traffic regulations may participate.
