Flycatchers<br />
Identification: 6″ – Grayish overall, with olive-gray<br />
upperparts. Small, rounded head. Most readily identified<br />
by distinctive tail-dipping action when perched.<br />
Feeding: Hunts from a perch and catches insects in<br />
mid-air<br />
Habitat: <strong>Sagebrush</strong> steppe, woodlands. Nests in tall<br />
sagebrush, bitterbrush, and smaller trees.<br />
Conservation: Stable. Maintain older, denser<br />
patches of sagebrush with a layered canopy.<br />
