Roxann Alley<br />

Past Grand Madam President<br />

Roxann Alley joined the Kennebec Auxiliary No. 3137 in<br />

Augusta, Maine August 14, 1979. She served in many <strong>of</strong>fices<br />

before attaining position <strong>of</strong> Madam President during the<br />

1984-1985 and 1986-1987 terms.<br />

In 1984 Roxann became a State Officer and served as<br />

Maine State Madam President in 1993. She was elected in<br />

1994-1995 and served the Grand Auxiliary as Eastern Division<br />

President. In 1997-1998, she was appointed New England<br />

Regional President. She has served the Grand Auxiliary as Grand<br />

Madam Inside Guard, Grand Madam Conductor, Grand Madam<br />

Trustee, Grand Madam Secretary and Grand Madam President-Elect. Roxann was installed as Grand Madam President<br />

at the 2005 Grand Auxiliary Convention held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Roxann is currently holding the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong><br />

Past Grand Madam President after completing her year as Grand Madam President.<br />

Roxann has been particularly interested in the charity work <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Eagles</strong>. She has been a dedicated Chairman <strong>of</strong><br />

many Local and State Charity Committees. She has helped secure many grants for hospitals in her area from the<br />

Children's Fund, Alzheimer's, Cerebral Palsy and others.<br />

She also instituted the Lewiston Auxiliary No. 618 when it was re-organized.<br />

Roxann resides in Augusta, Maine. She works at the Central Maine Power Company in the Remittance<br />

Processing department. She is a member <strong>of</strong> St. Augustine's Catholic Church. When asked what her hobbies are, Roxann<br />

said “well, before the <strong>Eagles</strong> she spent time deep-sea fishing and likes horseshoes, but that was before the <strong>Eagles</strong>.” One<br />

important note, she is allergic to “dark” chocolate.”


<strong>Luella</strong> <strong>Aube</strong><br />

Vermont State Auxiliary President<br />

2008-2009<br />

<strong>Luella</strong> joined Addison County <strong>Eagles</strong> #3801 in 1986 and held<br />

most <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fices in her club. She was president two times and is now<br />

trustee again. She worked on an Eagle Kitchen crew for many years. She<br />

served on Committees and fundraisers. She advanced through the chairs<br />

in the Vermont State Auxiliary to become Madam State President.<br />

<strong>Luella</strong> married John <strong>Aube</strong> on December 5, 1959. They have three<br />

children, one son Jim, and two daughters, Jeannette Myers-Whitney and<br />

Renee Elliott. Their two grand daughters Elizabeth and Mikayla. Their<br />

five grandsons, Brad Jeremy, Curtis, Nathaniel and David. One precious<br />

great grandson “carter James <strong>Aube</strong>” born 2-12-09.<br />

<strong>Luella</strong> was a stay at home mom until later years when she worked at Garden-Way, then Harrowsmith Magazine<br />

in Charlotte, VT. She loves spending time with family, gardening, watching birds, reading and being with Eagle<br />

friends.<br />

<strong>Luella</strong> and Johnny received a “Mr. & Mrs. Eagle Award” from Addison County <strong>Eagles</strong> in 2006.<br />

Her Charity is Cancer.<br />

Her Theme is: “LET’S GIVE THEM A HUG AND SHOW THEM WE CARE.”

Darrell Rall<br />

Grand Worthy Outside Guard<br />

2008-2009<br />

Darrell Rall, Garden Grove, CA, Grand Worthy Outside Guard, <strong>of</strong><br />

the <strong>Fraternal</strong> <strong>Order</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong> will visit Aerie No. 3801, Vergennes, VT<br />

for the Vermont State Convention to be held June 19 th – 21, 2009.<br />

Asked why he originally joined the <strong>Fraternal</strong> <strong>Order</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong>,<br />

Darrell Rall has a succinct answer: “To party”, says the member <strong>of</strong><br />

South Gate, CA Aerie 2080 since 1975.<br />

Thirty-seven years later, being an Eagle means a whole lot more to<br />

him. “It's an opportunity to give back to my community, says Darrell,<br />

serving as 2007-2008 International Director <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Eagles</strong> max Baer<br />

Fund, which raises millions <strong>of</strong> dollars each year for coronary research.<br />

In fact, adds Darrell, “My greatest thrill in life is helping<br />

Darrell has dedicated himself to “helping the FOE grow and become a better organization.” He intends to spend the<br />

next year working hard to eliminate disease through the <strong>Eagles</strong> Max Baer Heart Fund.<br />

“In the 48 years that it has existed, our Heart Fund has accomplished so much,” says Darrell. “We are on the<br />

front line when it comes to hear research, and with the support <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong> everywhere we can achieve a breakthrough<br />

that will end the heartache <strong>of</strong> heart disease.”<br />

Darrell enjoys riding motorcycles when he isn't working for the <strong>Eagles</strong>.


Tom McGrath<br />

Grand Treasurer<br />

2008-2009<br />

Thomas L. “Tom” McGrath, Ferrisburgh, VT, Grand Treasurer, <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Fraternal</strong> <strong>Order</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong> will visit Aerie No. 3801,<br />

Vergennes, VT for the Vermont State Convention to be held June 19 th –<br />

21, 2009.<br />

McGrath joined Rutland Aerie #1001, Rutland, VT on October<br />

He currently server Addison County Aerie #3801 as Secretary<br />

and Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees. He has held all local <strong>of</strong>fices<br />

except Treasurer. McGrath was the receipient <strong>of</strong> the Eagle <strong>of</strong> the Year<br />

award at Aerie 3801 twice & received the Outstanding Eagle <strong>of</strong> the Year<br />

and also a lifetime membership from his brothers .<br />

He currently received the H.L. Paris, Eagle <strong>of</strong> the Year award<br />

twice from the Vermont State Aerie. He served as Vermont State Aerie<br />

President in 1992, Northern New England Regional President in 1993.<br />

Continuing to serve this great fraternity as Grand Worthy Conductor in 1995 and was elected to Grand Worthy Chaplain in 1999,<br />

continuing on as a Grand Trustee. While serving as a Board member he reflects on many accomplishments our fraternity has<br />

benefited by: i.e. consolidation <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fices & employees, state <strong>of</strong> the art new headquarters wholly owned, annual employee<br />

appraisals, compensation and benefits packages, employment policy.<br />

McGrath served three terms in the House <strong>of</strong> Representatives, Vermont State General Assembly resigning to become a<br />

McGrath retired in 1995 after 35 years with General Electric and Martin-Marietta Aerospace as Manager <strong>of</strong> Research &<br />

Development, Production Control. He and his wife Peggy have two sons and five grandchildren. He enjoys his grandchildren,<br />

traveling and representing the Grand Aerie.


John <strong>Aube</strong><br />

New England Regional President<br />

2008-2009<br />

John R. <strong>Aube</strong>, Charlotte, Vermont, New England Regional<br />

President <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Fraternal</strong> <strong>Order</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong> will visit Aerie No.<br />

3801, Vergennes, Vermont for the Vermont State Convention to<br />

be held June 19 th – 21 st , 2009.<br />

“I am a people person”, says John <strong>Aube</strong>, a quality that will<br />

come in handy during his term as Eastern Regional President. In<br />

fact, John originally joined the <strong>Fraternal</strong> <strong>Order</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Eagles</strong> in 1985<br />

“to be involved and meet new people”.<br />

As a member <strong>of</strong> Aerie 3801 in Vergennes, Vermont John<br />

has held most <strong>of</strong> the chairs there, as well as the State Aerie<br />

chairs, including State President.<br />

President in 2008-2009, along with membership and Aerie and Auxiliary Partnerships.<br />

Being an Eagle, John says “is about friendship and working<br />

together as a team.” That's what he will emphasize as a Regional<br />

Hunting, fishing and spending time with his seven grandchildren are what John likes to do in his spare time. He<br />

and wife <strong>Luella</strong> have three children.


Paul K Wright joined the <strong>Eagles</strong> in 1989 as a<br />

charter member when a new Aerie was being formed in<br />

Milton, VT, and was also the first president for the new<br />

Arrowhead Aerie 4218.<br />

Paul was also the liaison between 4218 and the<br />

general contractor when a new banquet hall facility was<br />

being constructed at the club in 2001.<br />

Paul received the H.L. Paris award FOE State<br />

Eagle <strong>of</strong> the Year in 2002 and received Eagle <strong>of</strong> the Year<br />

from his Aerie in 2004.<br />

Paul is also a member <strong>of</strong> the Arrowhead Ritual<br />

Team and travels throughout the state <strong>of</strong> Vermont with<br />

the team for initiation ceremonies.<br />

Paul has one daughter and three grandchildren, and is still working in his own business as a real estate appraiser<br />

for the past 25 years, and enjoys an occasional round <strong>of</strong> golf when time permits.
