With the Premiers having the day off due to Chatham
Cup games, attention turned to the Fletchers who
were hosting Roslyn in the early game at Culling
Park. Roslyn up to this point hadnt conceeded a goal,
so we knew we were in for a tough encounter.
We played into the wind first half both keepers not
really called upon to make any saves of note. Richard
Smith dominating in the Centre of Midfield. Mike
Fridge impersonator Brad Rodden creating many
chances.
Rodden scored midway through the second half and
we dug in and held out to grab the 3 points. That put
Guilty...
us
back
on top. Great stat showing only one
loss in 23 games for these guys.
The 3rds played Northern at
Forrester, Coach Ayoub being assisted
by Mike Fridge. Nil all at half time and
the young guys battling well. Dont
know what was said at half time but
we were quickly down 2 nil after only a
few minutes. The lads lost 0-5 but they
are continuing to learn and are
pushing for higher honours.
Robs 4ths had a great victory
6-2 against Caversham. We scored
after 45 seconds. Jason Little getting
a hatty.
The Colts played Roslyn on
Dunedin’s if not the worlds smallest
pitch at Ellis Park. Dunedins leading
Radio Personality Callum Procter
opened the scoring.
Yet another defensive error
gifting Roslyn the equaliser. Another
even encounter, we didnt hold on to
the ball for long enough and made to
Victor
many mistakes. Roslyn won 1-4.
