The 1sts had a very tricky<br />

Chatham cup encounter vs<br />

Northern Hearts.<br />

Six Minutes in they were<br />

1 nil up, through a gem of a strike<br />

– an own goal from the Heart’s<br />

centre back. Tom McLean doubled<br />

the lead minutes later with a<br />

power drive into the corner. The<br />

first good start of the season for<br />

the lads meant they had to<br />

weather a fight back, as Hearts<br />

dominated possession<br />

culminating in a goal shortly<br />

before the half.<br />

The two Cam’s then<br />

combined well in a quick counter<br />

and cross which Cam McPhail<br />

finished well to restore the 2 goal<br />

cushion. In the 2 nd half James<br />

O’Callaghan added a forth (and<br />

another to his personal tally)<br />

curling one into the top corner and<br />

the victory. POD Cam Higgins.<br />

The 2nds had a seven nil<br />

drubbing at the hands of<br />

Caversham – least said soonest<br />

mended. The 3As struggled<br />

through their first half vs Tech.<br />

After an inspired substitution by player/coach Marc (he brought himself on!) the<br />

game changed rapidly with 2 quick goals. Final Score 5 nil.<br />

The 3Bs were less fortunate going down 2-1 to Melchester. A sending off<br />

and a caution not helping the lads so 10 vs 12 is always an uphill battle.<br />

The 4As had a 3-1 loss to Melchester – no news from that front!!<br />

The 4Bs had a struggle to beat Roslyn Black. The lads rose above the aggro and<br />

played football. They scored early through Mike who had a strong game, The<br />

club’s youth is looking good. Fitness and style proved decisive on the day. The<br />
