game was poised at 2 all until the near full time when the ascendency came. POD
was Max Jardine.
The 5As had the bye and enjoyed a run out against the Mosgiel youth.
Perhaps abit tentative with the young lads and handed them the game 3-1. The
5Bs had a good 4-1 win over Mosgiel
Div 6 the Relics had a tough outing vs Melchester. Made tougher by a own goal
which can only be described as a stunner – sad it was at the wrong end. POD
In a close fought game the Mighty Masters battled to a 1-0 win over
Grants Braes at Ocean Grove. Our defence was key to the team’s performance,
Grant, at left-back, had an excellent game and was awarded POD. On the right,
Alistair had his best game so far.
Mike in Goal had a solid game and read the play exceptionally well. In
mid-field, Pete and Brian linked well with our strikers creating space and scoring
chances from accurate long passes. Roly also provided nice touches and
constructive play from central mid-field. Simon made a strong contribution in the
2nd half with his pace and support play.
Vinnie scored a freakish goal early in the 2nd half from a sharp angle
which everyone assumed, including their keeper, was a pin-point cross! We’ll be
going hard for a hat-trick of wins next week.
The Prem Women had the weekend off so the only women’s result was
the Women - White who had a good 3-1 win over University
