Azel aber hatte sechs Söhne, die hießen : Asrikam, Bochru ,
And Azel had six sons , whose names [are] these, Azrikam, Bocheru,
Jesmael, Searja , Obadja , Hanan; das sind die Kinder

Die Philister stritten wider Israel; und die von Israel flohen
Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from

Aber die Philister hingen sich an Saul und seine Söhne
And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons

Und der Streit ward hart wider Saul, und die Bogenschützen kamen an ihn, daß
And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and

von den Schützen verwundet ward.
he was wounded of the archers .
4.
Da sprach Saul zu seinem Waffenträger: Ziehe dein Schwert aus und erstich
Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword , and thrust
mich damit , daß diese Unbeschnittenen nicht kommen und schändlich
me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse
mit mir umgehen. Aber sein Waffenträger wollte nicht, denn er

. But his armourbearer would not ; for he was sore
fürchtete sich sehr. Da nahm Saul sein Schwert und fiel darein.

Da aber sein Waffenträger sah, daß Saul todt war, fiel er
And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead , he fell
auch in das Schwert und starb.
likewise on the sword , and died .

Also starb Saul und seine drei Söhne und sein ganzes Haus
So Saul died, and his three sons , and all his house died
