Herrn gethan hatte an dem Wort des Herrn, das er nicht hielt
LORD , [even] against the word of the LORD , which he kept
; auch daß er die Wahrsagerin
not, and also for asking [counsel] of [one that had] a familiar spirit, to
fragte ,
enquire [of it];
14.
Und fragte den Herrn nicht; darum tödtete er ihn und wandte
And enquired not of the LORD : therefore he slew him, and turned

Und ganz Israel sammelte sich zu David gen Hebron und sprach: Siehe ,
Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron , saying, Behold,
wir sind dein Bein und dein Fleisch.
we [are] thy bone and thy flesh .

Auch vorhin , da Saul König war,
And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king , thou [wast] he that

God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel , and

Auch kamen alle Aeltesten Israels zum Könige gen Hebron. Und
Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and
David machte einen Bund mit ihnen zu Hebron vor dem Herrn. Und sie
David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD ; and they
salbten David zum Könige über Israel nach dem Wort des Herrn durch
anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by

Und David zog hin und das ganze Israel gen Jerusalem, das ist Jebus;
And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which [is] Jebus;
denn die Jebusiter wohnten im Lande.
where the Jebusites [were], the inhabitants of the land .

Und die Bürger zu Jebus sprachen zu David: Du sollst nicht herein
And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither
