Sunday
We rendezvous in glorious Vicenza to wander the
streets and visit Palladio’s stunning Teatro
Olimpico. A brief visit to La Rotonda before we
drive to Asiago for our Welcome Drink and Dinner.
Overnight: Asiago, Hotel Europa Residence
Monday
We explore the site of the WWl Battle of Asiago,
and walk through woods and open countryside to
Fort Corbin and lunch in a nearby village. We
continue to the fascinating mountain village of
Tresche Conca in the foothills of the Dolomites.
Dinner in a local pizzeria.
Overnight: Asiago, Hotel Europa Residence
Tuesday
We meander on a gentle uphill track, through
woods of spruce and larch, with panoramic views.
We lunch on local products at a farm where the
famous Asiago cheese is made. The afternoon walk
is dominated by views over Asiago as we walk
down from the plateau to our hotel.
Overnight: Asiago, Hotel Europa Residence
Wednesday
We walk to the charming medieval town of
Marostica, surrounded by the ancient walls of its
castles, for lunch in a renowned trattoria. At
Bassano del Grappa we stroll the ancient streets
and visit the Nardini Distillery to taste the famous
grappa.
Overnight: Asolo, Albergo al Sole
Thursday
We visit Palladio’s Villa Barbaro before lunch in a
local trattoria. In the afternoon, we drive to the
magnificent Villa Pisani. After a short visit, we
board our private launch for a cruise across the
lagoon to the very heart of the city of Venice, an
unforgettable arrival in La Serenissima. Dinner at a
local restaurant.
Overnight: Venice, Londra Palace Hotel
Friday
We stroll through the bustling alleyways and along
the quays - to board our private launch to Burano,
an island in the archipelago,
famous for its lace-making,
and lunch in a local
trattoria. Our launch
returns us to the city
and our Farewell
Dinner.
Overnight: Venice,
Londra Palace Hotel
Saturday
The Wayfarers see you on
your way.
Arrival: Vicenza
Departure: Venice
Terrain: Mountain and forest
trails, paved walks in Vicenza
and Venice.
