Albian Sands Energy<br />

The Oil & Gas business unit of <strong>Hatch</strong><br />

Energy has signed an engineering-services<br />

contract for Operations Support with Albian<br />

Sands Energy. The services will be provided<br />

to Albian from March 2006 to the end<br />

of February 2009. All engineering will be<br />

carried out in our Calgary offices.<br />

Apache Midale CO 2 Phase 2<br />

<strong>Hatch</strong> Energy was awarded the engineering,<br />

procurement and construction management<br />

of Phase 2 of the Midale CO 2 M<strong>is</strong>cible<br />

Flood Project by Apache Canada Ltd.<br />

The initial scope of work cons<strong>is</strong>ts of<br />

the development of an additional seven<br />

patterns and subsequent satellite and<br />

plant facility upgrades.<br />

Gorgon LNG Facility<br />

<strong>Hatch</strong> <strong>is</strong> working on the prefeasibility<br />

study for the next phase of the Shell<br />

ChevronTexaco Gorgon liquefied natural<br />

gas facility in Australia.<br />

Surmont Oil Sands Development<br />

The ConocoPhillips development southeast<br />

of Fort McMurray will use steam-ass<strong>is</strong>ted<br />

gravity drainage (SAGD) to recover heavy<br />

oil from oil sands where the pay zone <strong>is</strong><br />

too deep for other extraction methods.<br />

Weyburn Compressor Expansion<br />

<strong>Hatch</strong> Energy <strong>is</strong> providing project<br />

management, engineering and procurement<br />

for the EnCana Weyburn recyclecompressor<br />

expansion.<br />

The Weyburn, Saskatchewan oil and gas<br />

field has been on waterflood since 1964<br />

and has been on CO 2 m<strong>is</strong>cible flood since<br />

2000. CO 2 m<strong>is</strong>cible flood will target<br />

recovering another 15-20 percent of the<br />

original oil in place.<br />

ConocoPhillips will use steam-ass<strong>is</strong>ted<br />

gravity drainage to recover oil from<br />

the oil sands in Alberta, Canada.<br />

<strong>Hatch</strong> Energy provided the fast-track<br />

design and construction management<br />

for the award-winning Shikwamkwa<br />

Dam in Ontario, Canada.<br />
