Keeping Armour’s students ahead of the curve involves
paying attention to the rapid advances in engineering and
science, and juxtaposing them against the changing needs
of industry. New advanced degree programs include a
Master of Biological Engineering, Master of Engineering in
Manufacturing, Master of VLSI and Microelectronics, Master
of Power Electronics, and Master of Biomedical Imaging and
Signals. New graduate certificates include Specialization in
Pharmaceutical Engineering, Computer-Integrated Design and
Manufacturing, and Product Quality and Reliability Assurance.
Major capital improvements are underway at Armour. Jumpstarted
with $1 million in matching funds, Armour has raised
nearly 70 percent of the $5 million dedicated to upgrading
the labs serving students in the Chemical and Environmental
Engineering, Civil and Architectural Engineering, Electrical
and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical, Materials, and
Aerospace Engineering programs.
