40 Other Bayer K–8 monies went to environmental field trips. with funds provided by Bayer’s 30-year commitment to strengthening K–8 science education in local public schools, in 2009 the Berkeley Public Education Foundation gave a grant to Community Resources for Science for teaching teachers to teach science, and bringing in trained classroom volunteers to present hands-on demonstrations that are linked to California’s grade-level science curriculum standards.

Three of these employees are members of ILWU Local 6; none are Berkeley residents.
