10. Because any pretended common law,<br />
on which to found a prosecution, can be no<br />
other than the law of prejudice, malice, and<br />
persecution, inherent in all ages in the minds<br />
of wicked and unjust men, and is the very<br />
same law, having the same sources, as the<br />
pretended laws under Avhich Socrates was<br />
poisoned.<br />

of publishing truth on all<br />
subjects useful and interestmg to society, is<br />
the great bulwark of civil and religious<br />
