Village <strong>News</strong> from Cherry Willingham Community School<br />
Textiles<br />
Eileesh Lightowler, Issy Bochel, Deanna Armstrong, Molly Maddison, Megan<br />
Desforges, Olivia Prescott, Lily Robson and Jorji Wright are gearing up for yet<br />
another successful fashion collection performance on the Drillhall’s catwalk on<br />
Wed 3rd July. The work is fantastic and they are hoping for a third successive<br />
win for the school. Their collection is called ‘Insectichic’ inspired by creepy<br />
crawlies and they will be rocking the catwalk to Florence & the Machine!<br />
Football<br />
The year 11 football team have won every game and for their last ever match<br />
faced a league play-off final against Priory LSST for the championship. What a<br />
fantastic performance. They ran out 2-1 winners, with a Kieran Helsdown’s<br />
penalty followed by a Jordan Edward’s header with 3 minutes to go! Jamie<br />
Bradley, Steven Brammer, Joe Marshall, Tom Maxwell, Alex Burgess, Aaron<br />
Smith, Elliot Dye, Jordan Edwards, Jordan Whitelam, Kieran Helsdown, Steven<br />
Radley, James Underwood, Tommy Galloway and Ben Ayres have all been outstanding<br />
in terms of attitude, effort and performance.<br />
Technology<br />
