) If any <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> seven substitutes listed on <strong>the</strong> match sheet are not able to be<br />
fielded due to unexpected physical incapacity, <strong>the</strong>y may be replaced, by any<br />
player not listed on <strong>the</strong> initial match sheet (but included in <strong>the</strong> list <strong>of</strong> 23 players<br />
as laid down in paragraph 17.03) .<br />
c) If none <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> goalkeepers listed on <strong>the</strong> match sheet are able to be fielded due<br />
to unexpected physical incapacity, <strong>the</strong>y may be replaced by o<strong>the</strong>r goalkeepers<br />
not listed on <strong>the</strong> initial match sheet.<br />
d) The associations concerned must, upon request, provide <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong><br />
administration with <strong>the</strong> necessary medical certificates.<br />
Replacement <strong>of</strong> players on <strong>the</strong> match sheet in <strong>the</strong> final tournament<br />
14.12 After <strong>the</strong> match sheets have been completed, signed and returned to <strong>the</strong> referee by<br />
both teams, and if <strong>the</strong> match has not yet kicked <strong>of</strong>f, <strong>the</strong> following provisions apply<br />
for final tournament matches.<br />
a) If any <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first 11 players listed on <strong>the</strong> match sheet are not able to start <strong>the</strong><br />
match due to unexpected physical incapacity, <strong>the</strong>y may be replaced by any <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> 12 substitutes listed on <strong>the</strong> match sheet. Such replacements will reduce <strong>the</strong><br />
quota <strong>of</strong> substitute players accordingly for <strong>the</strong> final tournament match in<br />
question. During <strong>the</strong> match, three players may still be substituted.<br />
b) If any <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 12 substitutes listed on <strong>the</strong> match sheet are not able to be fielded<br />
due to unexpected physical incapacity, <strong>the</strong>y may not be replaced, which means<br />
that <strong>the</strong> quota <strong>of</strong> substitute players will be reduced accordingly for <strong>the</strong> final<br />
tournament match in question.<br />
c) The associations concerned must, upon request, provide <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong><br />
administration with <strong>the</strong> necessary medical certificates.<br />
Article 15<br />
Half-time interval, break before extra time<br />
15.01 The half-time interval lasts 15 minutes. If extra time is required, <strong>the</strong>re is a fiveminute<br />
break between <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> normal time and <strong>the</strong> start <strong>of</strong> extra time. As a rule,<br />
<strong>the</strong> players remain on <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong> play during this five-minute break, at <strong>the</strong><br />
discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> referee.<br />
Article 16<br />
Kicks from <strong>the</strong> penalty mark<br />
16.01 In case <strong>the</strong> winner <strong>of</strong> a match played under <strong>the</strong> knockout system cannot be<br />
determined after extra time (or in case paragraph 8.08 applies), kicks from <strong>the</strong><br />
penalty mark are taken in accordance with <strong>the</strong> procedure laid down in <strong>the</strong> Laws <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Game promulgated by <strong>the</strong> IFAB.<br />
