eferee liaises with <strong>the</strong> VDC to state <strong>the</strong> reasons for each yellow and red card<br />

issued and to validate electronically <strong>the</strong> match report. The referee is also<br />

responsible for faxing <strong>the</strong> match sheets to <strong>UEFA</strong> directly after <strong>the</strong> match (<strong>the</strong><br />

original <strong>of</strong> which have to be sent to <strong>UEFA</strong> by regular mail by <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong> match<br />

delegate with his report). In case <strong>of</strong> red cards or any o<strong>the</strong>r major incidents, <strong>the</strong><br />

referee has to write an additional detailed report and send it to <strong>UEFA</strong> by fax or by<br />

email within 12 hours <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> match.<br />

19.08 On his report, <strong>the</strong> referee reports in as much detail as possible on any incidents<br />

before, during and after <strong>the</strong> match, such as:<br />

a) misconduct <strong>of</strong> players leading to caution or expulsion;<br />

b) unsporting behaviour by <strong>of</strong>ficials, members, supporters, or anyone carrying out<br />

a function at a match on behalf <strong>of</strong> an association;<br />

c) any o<strong>the</strong>r incidents.<br />

19.09 During <strong>the</strong> final tournament, <strong>the</strong> referee must hand in his report and both match<br />

sheets to <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial <strong>UEFA</strong> tournament <strong>of</strong>fice immediately after <strong>the</strong> match.<br />

19.10 During <strong>the</strong>ir stay at <strong>the</strong> match venue, <strong>the</strong> referees are taken care <strong>of</strong>, in accordance<br />

with <strong>the</strong> specific directives issued in this regard by <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong> administration, by a<br />

referee liaison <strong>of</strong>ficer, who is an <strong>of</strong>ficial representative <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> host association.<br />

Article 20<br />

<strong>UEFA</strong> Disciplinary <strong>Regulations</strong><br />

20.01 The provisions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong> Disciplinary <strong>Regulations</strong> apply for all disciplinary<br />

<strong>of</strong>fences committed by associations, <strong>of</strong>ficials, members or o<strong>the</strong>r individuals<br />

exercising a function at a match on behalf <strong>of</strong> an association, unless <strong>the</strong> present<br />

regulations stipulate o<strong>the</strong>rwise.<br />

20.02 Participating players agree to comply with <strong>the</strong> Laws <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Game, <strong>UEFA</strong> Statutes,<br />

<strong>UEFA</strong> Disciplinary <strong>Regulations</strong>, <strong>UEFA</strong> Anti-Doping <strong>Regulations</strong>, <strong>UEFA</strong> Kit<br />

<strong>Regulations</strong> as well as <strong>the</strong> present regulations. They must notably:<br />

a) respect <strong>the</strong> spirit <strong>of</strong> fair play and non-violence, and behave accordingly;<br />

b) refrain from any activities that endanger <strong>the</strong> integrity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong> competitions<br />

or bring <strong>the</strong> sport <strong>of</strong> football into disrepute;<br />

c) refrain from anti-doping rule violations as defined by <strong>the</strong> <strong>UEFA</strong> Anti-Doping<br />

<strong>Regulations</strong>.<br />
