Acl recertified for
U.S. Coast Guard’s Qualship 21
ACL was recertified by the U.S. Coast
Guard for their Qualship 21 certification
for its five G3 vessels. This certification
recognizes ACL’s compliance with international
and U.S. standards of the U.S. Coast
Guard initiative to identify high-quality
ships and operations for the 21 st century.
After an initial vessel screening and a series
of questions, U.S. Coast Guard headquarters
determined ACL's eligibility. The
Company’s G3 vessels received Qualship
21 certification which allows a maximum of
two years of reductions in port state control
examinations, streamlined inspection
procedures to vessels meeting its criteria as
well as Qualship 21 and EQUASIS webpage
recognition.
ACL is committed to the highest vessel and
service standards, complying with all relevant
registrations. Its vessels received ISO
14001 Environmental Management System
Certification and they are also in compliance
with the mandatory International Ship
and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS).
