Feedback from the Young People:-
The young people split into two groups. They were asked to list all the issues that
young people and families may face on one side of a diagram that was in the
shape of a person. On the other side of the diagram they were asked to list as
many services as they could think of that would benefit young people and their
fam ilies as a whole and who should deliver these.
The young people then discussed where they think these services can be
advertised and accessed by young people and families in need of support.
1) Issues that young people and families may face:-
a) Drugs use of parents and young people;
b) Domestic violence;
c) Puberty;
d) Bullying;
e) Crime;
f) Life decisions;
g) Conflict;
h) Bereavement;
i) Peer pressure, pressure to have sex;
j) Pressure to be skinny – eating disorders;
k) Pregnancy;
l) Disability;
m) Homophobia;
n) Family separation;
