(c) by sending it by post in a prepaid registered letter to any person who is a<br />
director, manager, secretary or other <strong>of</strong>ficer <strong>of</strong> the body or who is purporting<br />
to act in any such capacity at the place where he or she ordinarily resides or by<br />
leaving it at that place.<br />
Disclosure <strong>of</strong> information, translations <strong>of</strong> reports<br />
Restrictions on disclosure <strong>of</strong> information.<br />
34. (1) Subject to paragraph (2) any information received by a Competent<br />
Authority by virtue <strong>of</strong> a requirement <strong>of</strong> these Regulations shall, to the extent that it is<br />
not information relating to the environment for the purposes <strong>of</strong> the Access to<br />
Information on the Environment Regulations 1998 (S.I. No. 125 <strong>of</strong> 1998), be treated<br />
as being so for those purposes.<br />
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to information involving—<br />
(a) the confidentiality <strong>of</strong> the deliberations <strong>of</strong> the competent authorities and the<br />
Commission <strong>of</strong> the European Communities,<br />
(b) the confidentiality <strong>of</strong> international relations and national defence,<br />
(c) public security,<br />
(d) the confidentiality <strong>of</strong> preliminary investigation proceedings or <strong>of</strong> current<br />
legal proceedings,<br />
(e) commercial and industrial secrets, including intellectual property,<br />
(f) personal data or files, or<br />
(g) data supplied by a third party if that party asks for them to be kept<br />
confidential,<br />
