(c) by sending it by post in a prepaid registered letter to any person who is a
director, manager, secretary or other officer of the body or who is purporting
to act in any such capacity at the place where he or she ordinarily resides or by
leaving it at that place.
Disclosure of information, translations of reports
Restrictions on disclosure of information.
34. (1) Subject to paragraph (2) any information received by a Competent
Authority by virtue of a requirement of these Regulations shall, to the extent that it is
not information relating to the environment for the purposes of the Access to
Information on the Environment Regulations 1998 (S.I. No. 125 of 1998), be treated
as being so for those purposes.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to information involving—
(a) the confidentiality of the deliberations of the competent authorities and the
Commission of the European Communities,
(b) the confidentiality of international relations and national defence,
(c) public security,
(d) the confidentiality of preliminary investigation proceedings or of current
legal proceedings,
(e) commercial and industrial secrets, including intellectual property,
(f) personal data or files, or
(g) data supplied by a third party if that party asks for them to be kept
confidential,
