Corrine Cathala, Senior <strong>Water</strong> and <strong>Sanitation</strong> Specialist, Inter-American Development Bank<br />
Corinne Cathala is a Senior <strong>Water</strong> and <strong>Sanitation</strong> Specialist in the <strong>Water</strong> and<br />
<strong>Sanitation</strong> division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she<br />
began her career in 1996 as an Investment Officer, identifying and structuring<br />
senior debt project financing for private sector infrastructure projects in Latin<br />
America and the Caribbean. Since 2001, Corinne has been leading and collaborating<br />
on the design and execution of water and sanitation projects in the region.<br />
Prior to joining the IDB, Corinne worked at the International Finance Corporation,<br />
the private sector arm of the World Bank, as an Investment Analyst and worked on the<br />
rating of the IFC loan and equity portfolio. Corinne earned and M.B.A in international finance<br />
from the George Washington University in 1994.<br />
Rodrigo Riquelme, <strong>Water</strong> and <strong>Sanitation</strong> Sr. Specialist, Inter-American Development Bank<br />
Rodrigo Riquelme joined the IDB at the <strong>Water</strong> and <strong>Sanitation</strong> Division in 2008 as<br />
<strong>Water</strong> and <strong>Sanitation</strong> Sr. Specialist. He is a Chilean chartered civil engineer specialized<br />
in infrastructure and water. He studied his degree in the University of<br />
Chile and also holds a Master of Science in water resources and technology<br />
from Birmingham University and an MBA from the University of Leicester both<br />
in the United Kingdom. He has more than 17 years of experience in analysis, development<br />
and implementation of operational and infrastructure projects in the<br />
water sector. Mr. Riquelme worked in different water utilities in Latin America<br />
and United Kingdom in operation improvement, planning and management of infrastructure. He<br />
developed asset management schemes for infrastructure in Chile and Australia. In the solid<br />
waste sector he has managed municipal solid waste projects which included design, contract development,<br />
procurement and construction.<br />
Diego Rodriguez, Senior Economist, <strong>Water</strong> Partnership Program, World Bank<br />
Dr. Diego Rodriguez is currently a Senior Economist at the <strong>Water</strong> Unit of the<br />
Department of Transport, <strong>Water</strong> and Information and Communication Technology<br />
of the Sustainable Development Vice-Presidency of the World Bank. He is<br />
the task team leader of the new World Bank initiative on the quantification of<br />
the tradeoffs of the energy-water nexus and the Program Manager of the <strong>Water</strong><br />
Partnership Program. He is currently providing technical support to operational<br />
teams on the use of economic analysis in large water infrastructure investments<br />
under deep uncertainty. Prior to joining the World Bank he worked at the Danish Hydraulic Institute<br />
and the Inter American Development Bank. He has more than 20 years of experience in sectoral,<br />
operational, policy and strategy development in water supply, sanitation, and water resources<br />
management.<br />
