Electr<strong>on</strong> beam <strong>and</strong> gamma-ray irradiati<strong>on</strong> c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s:<br />

The electr<strong>on</strong> beam <strong>and</strong> gamma-ray irradiati<strong>on</strong>s were d<strong>on</strong>e at the “L<strong>in</strong>ear Accelerator<br />

Laboratory” - The Nati<strong>on</strong>al Institute for Lasers, Plasma <strong>and</strong> Radiati<strong>on</strong> Physics.<br />

The electr<strong>on</strong> beam irradiati<strong>on</strong> was<br />

carried out at room temperature, <strong>in</strong> an axial<br />

geometry, the electr<strong>on</strong> beam <strong>in</strong>cident <strong>on</strong> the<br />

photodiode sens<strong>in</strong>g surface;<br />

- the electr<strong>on</strong> beam current – 1 μA;<br />

- the pulse repetiti<strong>on</strong> rate – 100 Hz;<br />

- the pulse durati<strong>on</strong> – 3,5 μs;<br />

- the beam transversal area – 100 cm^2;<br />

- the spot uniformity - +/- 5 %;<br />

- the dose rate – 2 kGy/ m<strong>in</strong><br />

The gamma irradiati<strong>on</strong> was<br />

carried out with a dose rate of 9 Gy/<br />

m<strong>in</strong> <strong>and</strong> was produced by the electr<strong>on</strong><br />

beam imp<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g <strong>on</strong> a tungsten target.<br />
