In recent years, damage to sports and amenity turfgrass by<br />
plant parasitic nematodes has become a major problem.<br />
These microscopic parasites can feed externally on grass<br />
roots (ectoparasites) or completely enter the root to feed<br />
(endoparasites). Across Europe many turfgrass managers are<br />
experiencing severe turf chlorosis and turf loss on putting<br />
greens, football pitches, bowling greens, and so on.<br />

Reducing nematode populations in a sports turf can quickly<br />
promote an increase in turf quality and performance.<br />
Currently Eagle Green Care is the only nematicide in the UK<br />
that is approved for use on sportsfields and amenity turf<br />
areas.<br />
How Eagle Green Care works<br />
Eagle Green Care contains polysulphides which react with<br />
enzymes in animal cells and have a potent effect against<br />
insect eggs and plant parasitic nematodes. It kills all types of<br />
nematodes on contact.<br />
It is recommended that Eagle Green Care is drenched into<br />
the surface of grass where nematode-induced damage is<br />
apparent, or nematode populations in soil exceed<br />
thresholds.<br />
