Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said Iran
should expand its military presence in the sea.
In light of current events and the geopolitics of the modern world, Iran should
strengthen its position in the sea and on the coast, Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting
with the Navy commander, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, and other senior Navy
officials on Sunday.
It is essential for the future of the Navy that it increase the number of its personnel and
identify and discover new talents, the Leader stated.
And these objectives can be achieved through effective management, he added.
He also expressed appreciation for the cooperation between the Navy and the Islamic

Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Ekmaledin Ehsan Oglu
will travel to Tehran on Monday/ today for talks with the Iranian foreign minister and
some other officials.
Regional and international issues, developments in the Muslim world, particularly those
related to Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon will feature in talks between Oglu
