Preheating is achieved as Nitrogen is output from the nozzle surrounding<br />
the heater pipe. Using Nitrogen reduces oxidization and<br />
improves solder wetting and fillet shape.<br />
Improving lead-free soldering<br />
Advantages of the Preheat Effect<br />
●Allows soldering work to be done with a tip<br />
temperature similar to that for Eutectic solder (Sn-Pb),<br />
even though lead-free solder has a high melting point<br />
temperature.<br />
●Enables quicker soldering because there is minimal<br />
temperature fluctuation during soldering work.<br />
●Reduces solder splashing or damage caused by heatshocks<br />
during soldering by preheating the components<br />
or the solder itself.<br />

Special Tool to change tip easily<br />
RX-802ASPH comes with a special tool to change the tip easily even<br />
when it’s hot.<br />
The solder joint is only being<br />
heated by the tip so the copper<br />
pattern of the multi-layer board is<br />
draining the temperature. Solder<br />
wetting may also be poor.<br />
The heated Nitrogen is preheating<br />
the whole soldering area. This is<br />
particularly effective on multilayer<br />
PCB copper pattern. Solder wetting<br />
is also good.<br />
NOTE Preheat effect cannot be achieved using the RX-802ASPH<br />
alone. A Nitrogen gas cylinder or Nitrogen generator (available<br />
separately) is also required. We recommend using the NC-100R N2<br />
Station to control gas flow.<br />
