& Controllers<br />

<strong>RTD</strong> is proud to offer its most advanced cpuModules with the Intel ® Core 2 Duo Processor<br />

and up to 2 GB of SDRAM. These high-performance, energy-efficient cpuModules are<br />

powered by the Intel ® GS45 chipset from the “Montevina” platform. A dual channel DDR2<br />

memory interface ensures adequate memory bandwidth to keep up with both processor<br />

cores.<br />

An Intel Gen 5.0 integrated graphics engine provides extensive rendering<br />

capabilities. Some of this CPU’s I/O features include Gigabit Ethernet, two SATA hard<br />

drive connections plus an on-board SATA Disk Chip, up to six USB 2.0 ports, up to four<br />

RS-232/422/485 serial ports, analog SVGA and digital LVDS video ports. These modules<br />

also support <strong>RTD</strong>’s Advanced Digital I/O (aDIO : see page 16) and Advanced Analog I/O<br />

(aAIO ), which allows them to be used as single-board solutions for some data acquisition<br />

and controller applications. CMX models include high-definition audio with Cirrus Logic<br />

CS4207 Codec.<br />
