MARATON HHE - power supply system for

MARATON is a series of MAgnetic field and RAdiation TOleraNt power supplies.
Strategy for magnetic field tolerance: water cooling (until 300G), screened components
(until 1200G)
Strategies for radiation tolerance: special components (until 30Gy), radiation sensible
components placed remotely (protons: until 140 Gy, neutrons: until 722 Gy)
The high density very powerful and compact low-voltage floating power supply system
MARATON HHE possesses in a 3U high box 12 independent channels of 300W each. In parallel
operation the output power per channel can be boosted to 600W / 900W /1200W... with 6 / 4 /
3... channel utilization.
Dynamic behavior adjustable by internal jumper (long-short sensed distances to loads).

Up to 12 independent, potential free outputs, total up to 3 kW DC output power (nom. 385VDC
inp.), 3,6kW water cooled
Fully controlled, adjustable trip levels
Adjustable voltages, current limits, temperature limits and OVP-trip levels
Extremely low noise and ripple
CE conform EN 50 081/82 part 2 or 1, safety in accordance with EN 60 950
VME compatible remote monitoring and control module for 12 channels with Ethernet (TCP/IP)
interface (for Standard Environment)
If necessary, 385VDC input from PFC module (with standard mains input) placed on remote bin
Water cooled (recommended) or by forced air
MaratonHHE consists of a power box containing up to six dual modules MDC or MDM. A control
card (RCM) is placed on a remote VME crate and a mains input module with PFC is placed, if
