ADC2530 High Precision Peak Sensing ADC<br />

ADC2530 from HYTEC electronics is a 8 fold high precision 13-bit peak sensing ADC with<br />

common master gate and individual gates. Very low non-linearity with sliding scale correction.<br />

Designed for HPGe detectors, ADC2530 provides resolution and linearity as required in high<br />

precision spectroscopy. List mode and self triggered histogramming mode are available.<br />

ADC 2530 Features<br />

8 fold high resolution 13-bit/8k peak sensing ADC, common and individual gate (20ns-<br />

20µs)<br />

High linearity: +/-2% differential, with sliding scale correction, +/- 0.025% integral<br />

8V full input range, polarity and 1k / 50R input impedance jumper selectable<br />

On board dual-ported SRAM. Supports list mode or histogramming (8Kx32 bit spectra)<br />

Channels can be self triggered, with programmable upper and lower thresholds<br />

3µs conversion time per channel, < 20µs conversion time for all eight channels<br />

Four control connectors for Master Gate, Fast Clear, Busy, and Data Ready (LEMO)<br />

Six indicator LED’s for DTACK, Busy, Gate, Interrupt, Power, and Armed (acquiring)<br />

IP CARDS—Industry Packs<br />

Industry Packs add to the flexibility of <strong>VME</strong>64x, these plug-in cards are based on an industry<br />

standard format and are designed to have wide application. They are very compact, 1.8 inches<br />

by 3.9 inches in size and they include an ID PROM which aids auto-configuration.<br />

They have connectors that are keyed for ease of installation. A selection of Hytec IP cards is<br />

Motor Control (Stepper and DC Servo) & Power Drive Systems<br />

Hytec’s Stepper Motor system consists of two main parts, a controller (Industry Pack 8601),<br />

mounted on an IP carrier card (Hytec 8002,3 or 4, 6335) or inside our 9010 IOC unit. A SCSI-2<br />

cable connects to a separate rackmounting enclosure housing the drive system (SMDS4 or MDS-<br />

8) which is a separate 3U high rack mounting unit. The drive houses plug in cards and logic<br />

cards. Support is available for 4 or 5 phase stepper motors (L/R or BIPOLAR drive) or DC Servo<br />

motors. Phase current can be up to 4 amps and is programmed by switches on each chopped<br />

drive card. We also have drive cards for three-phase and five-phase motors.<br />
