Humanoid robots represent an open technological<br />
platform at the European level, which as interface<br />
technology encourage the development of products<br />
in the informatics, electronics and telecommunications<br />
fields. In addition to presenting <strong>Italy</strong>’s<br />
scientific and industrial contribution to the development<br />
of humanoid robots, the opportunity will<br />
also be used to showcase Icub, a humanoid robot<br />
developed at the Italian <strong>Institut</strong>e for Technology IIT<br />
in conjunction with numerous European partners,<br />
including Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.<br />

Technology Atlas<br />
The research platforms provided by the Italian<br />
technology parks make it possible not only to<br />
improve the quality of industrial products but to<br />
attract potential foreign partners interested in<br />
the state-of-the-art services offered by research<br />
laboratories and excellence centres in <strong>Italy</strong>. Brief<br />
and concise presentations will inform the participants<br />
about the parks and their locations, as well<br />
as about specific topics and current projects. In<br />
addition, the Investment Desk at the Italian <strong>Institut</strong>e<br />
for Foreign Trade in Berlin will be presenting<br />
itself and the tools it uses to inform interested<br />
entrepreneurs about <strong>Italy</strong>’s fields of excellence in<br />
the ICT and renewable energy sectors.<br />
