Humanoid robots represent an open technological
platform at the European level, which as interface
technology encourage the development of products
in the informatics, electronics and telecommunications
fields. In addition to presenting Italy’s
scientific and industrial contribution to the development
of humanoid robots, the opportunity will
also be used to showcase Icub, a humanoid robot
developed at the Italian Institute for Technology IIT
in conjunction with numerous European partners,
including Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.

Innovative materials play an important role in modern
industrial processes and are a prerequisite for
implementing the complex technologies that provide
the basis for sustainable mobility. The seminar
highlights Italy’s contribution in this field with specific
examples demonstrating the use of innovative
materials in construction, automotive production,
fuel cells, steel, chemistry and packaging.

Presentation of the latest edition of the Italian
Technology Atlas
The research platforms provided by the Italian
technology parks make it possible not only to
improve the quality of industrial products but to
attract potential foreign partners interested in
the state-of-the-art services offered by research
laboratories and excellence centres in Italy. Brief
and concise presentations will inform the participants
about the parks and their locations, as well
as about specific topics and current projects. In
addition, the Investment Desk at the Italian Institute
for Foreign Trade in Berlin will be presenting
itself and the tools it uses to inform interested
entrepreneurs about Italy’s fields of excellence in
the ICT and renewable energy sectors.
