Distribution: Worldwide in temperate to tropic<strong>al</strong> regions.<br />
Habitat: Offshore. Mostly taken in pelagic fisheries.<br />
Pector<strong>al</strong> fin description<br />
Dors<strong>al</strong> surface is dark grey or<br />
or dark greyish-brown in color,<br />
while the ventr<strong>al</strong> surface is<br />
white with no markings. The<br />
fins are long and slender from<br />
leading edge to trailing edge<br />
and the radi<strong>al</strong> cartilage is<br />
easily seen extending from<br />
the base towards the apex.<br />
