Transportation<br />

The Central, the Besevler, and the Kecioren Campuses are<br />

accessible by inner-city transportation systems such as<br />

buses, underground, and dolmuses.<br />

By Bus (Otobüs)<br />

Buses are cheap, however especially at peak times they<br />

can be very crowded. There are two types of buses<br />

in Ankara servicing the whole city. One is run by the<br />

municipality and is called Belediye Otobüsü (EGO). These<br />

buses are either red or blue and can be recognized by the<br />

EGO sign on the bus. Since electronic tickets are required<br />

for traveling with these buses the tickets should be<br />

bought in advance. They are sold as five, ten, or twentyjourney<br />

tickets, and you can buy them in any kiosk.<br />

Just ask for an EGO-ticket. A bus ticket costs less than<br />

one Euro.<br />

The Beytepe Campus is about half an hour’s drive from<br />

the downtown campus. There are regular bus services<br />

between the two campuses run both by the municipality<br />
