in a restored<br />
covered market;<br />
adjoining this<br />
is an Ottoman<br />
warehouse and<br />
close by is the<br />
Liberation War<br />
Museum. At<br />
the Anatolian<br />
Civilizations<br />
Museum you<br />
will see many<br />
artefacts from<br />
early Anatolian<br />
Civilizations such<br />
as Urartin, Hittite<br />
and Phrygian eras. Vessels, Phrygian pottery and statues<br />
are also on display along with artefacts from the earliest<br />
known human settlement - Catal Hoyuk. (7000bc) A<br />
bronze shield and belts from the Urartin era are on display<br />
as well as a collection of glass, jewellery and tile work from<br />
other ancient civilizations. Open every day except Monday<br />
from 08:30 to 17:30 from 1 st May to 30 th September; and<br />
open from 08:30 to17:00 from 1 st October to 30 th April.<br />
All museums are generally open every day 8:30 to<br />
12:30/13:30 to 17:30 in summer; 8:30 to 12:30/13:00 to<br />
17:00 in winter.<br />
