Guest speaker will be Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Sustainer, and former CEO and<br />

current chairperson <strong>of</strong> Carlson. Marilyn will be selling and signing her book, How<br />

We Lead Matters: Reflections on a Life <strong>of</strong> Leadership, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. She will<br />

discuss her book during <strong>the</strong> meeting from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. If you would like hors<br />

d’oeuvres and dessert, <strong>the</strong> cost is $25. Please pay through <strong>the</strong> JLM web site or by<br />

• Bring a supper potluck item to share.<br />

• Overview <strong>of</strong> Bridging and issue <strong>of</strong> homelessness.<br />

• Volunteers will split into teams and work on several hands-on service projects.<br />

• Bridging provides a one-time gift <strong>of</strong> quality furniture and household items to<br />

economically disadvantaged people.<br />

• Volunteers will work on an assembly line packing food boxes or sort/repack bulk<br />

food items for distribution to SHH partner food shelves.<br />

• Second Harvest Heartland is <strong>the</strong> Upper Midwest’s largest hunger-relief<br />

organization with a mission <strong>of</strong> ending hunger through community partnerships.<br />
