MISSION STATEMENT
The Business Office mission is to provide financial services to enhance the educational, student life and research
environments of Kettering University.
Earnings
Students are employees of their corporate affiliates and are paid during their work periods at rates established by those companies. Through
income earned while working at co-op employers, students can earn a reasonable portion of their annual educational and personal expenses
while attending Kettering University.
Expenses*
The current tuition, fees, and charges are listed below. All tuition and fees are due by the beginning of each academic term and all financial aid
arrangements must be made by the end of the first day of classes. The FACTS Payment Plan is available which allows families to budget
payments with no interest, although a processing fee is required. Individuals wishing to pay by credit card will also be directed to FACTS to
make payment by American Express, Discover, and MasterCard. A $40 late fee will be added to all accounts which have not been settled in full
by the end of the first day of the term. Financial aid is available for students with a demonstrated need; sources of aid are discussed in the
Financial Aid section of this catalog.
Tuition/Financial Aid Policy
For purposes of determining financial aid, a full academic load at Kettering University is considered to be 16 credit hours. In the new
curriculum, students may fall below 16 credit hours for various reasons. One scenario involves courses where the class and lab are separated;
three credits for the class and one credit for the lab. If a student withdraws from the class before seventh week he/she should also withdraw
from the lab. As a freshman or sophomore, if a student fails the course but passes the lab, he/she may take only 15 credits when repeating the
class. This could affect financial aid. In particular, Pell Grants would be reduced by one-fourth. However, the reduction in the Pell Grant
award will be offset by the reduction in tuition. Other forms of financial aid or loans may be affected. Please contact the Financial Aid Office
