MISSION STATEMENT<br />
To enrich <strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s global heritage and enhance its international reputation by engaging the <strong>University</strong>’s<br />

The International Office is the facilitator for international students, professors, and other visitors who visit <strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong> from<br />
throughout the world. It provides assistance with course availability, visas, immigration regulations, driver’s license, insurance, bank<br />
accounts, housing and other settlement concerns.<br />
Study Abroad Program<br />
The International Studies Program at <strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong> helps students prepare for global leadership. Globalization and increased<br />
cooperation will require those entering the 21st-Century job market to be able to function internationally. Studying abroad will provide<br />
students with knowledge and experience that will give them a competitive edge to excel in the world market. Employers recognize that<br />
applicants who have international experience are more likely to possess the qualities in demand by our global economy.<br />

Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering<br />
• Germany at the Hochschule, Reutlingen (fall term)<br />
• Mexico at Monterrey Tech, Saltillo (5 months beginning in January or July)<br />
Mechanical Engineering:<br />
• Germany at the Fachhochschule Esslingen (spring and fall)<br />

Academic Requirements<br />
Students applying for a “study abroad term” must be in good academic standing, have passing grade in all courses taken in the past two<br />
academic terms, must meet specific degree program requirements for study abroad and have degree department approval. Information on the<br />
specific requirements, including prerequisites, is available for each program in the International Office.
