SUMMARY
The establishment <strong>of</strong> Guidelines for the Internal Ombudsman will ensure that any person dealing
with the Office <strong>of</strong> the Internal Ombudsman is aware <strong>of</strong> the role and functions <strong>to</strong> <strong>be</strong> carried out by
that <strong>of</strong>fice.
Accordingly, it is recommended that the proposed Guidelines <strong>be</strong> adopted <strong>to</strong> enable the Internal
Ombudsman <strong>to</strong> carry out the functions required <strong>of</strong> the position.
RECOMMENDATION
1 That Council adopt Guidelines for the Office <strong>of</strong> the Internal Ombudsman in
accordance with the document titled “Ku-ring-gai Council Internal Ombudsman
Guidelines”.
2 Once adopted, that the Internal Ombudsman operate within such Guidelines.
