ACTIVITIES BOOTH
Dinner Reservations
When you get a chance between seminars, symposia and
the exposition, stop by the restaurant reservation booth
(next to the Pittcon store) to make dinner reservations for
any of the fine restaurants in New Orleans. Plan ahead—
the more popular spots fill up quickly.
Meet to Eat
Traveling alone? Try the “Meet to Eat Program” - dine with
fellow conferees by signing up for a particular restaurant.
Sign up before 3:00 p.m. at the Dinner Reservations
Booth near the Pittcon Store in the Hall A Lobby.
Gifts etc. at the Pittcon Store in the
Morial Convention Center
As in the past, this yearʼs selection of souvenirs include
one or more Conference mascots, various childrenʼs
items, T-shirts, Solar-Powered Sun Catchers, Crookes
Radiometers, Laser Pointers, Pedometers, TSA-Approved
Luggage Locks, Pad Folios as well as a variety of other gift
items to take home to family, friends and co-workers. Make
sure to stop and shop. We hope to have that special item
for everyone. The store is located in the Hall A Lobby.
MIXERS
Sunday Evening Registration /
Poster Session Mixer
A FREE mixer/poster session will be held in the Morial
Convention Center in the La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom
on Sunday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This mixer
begins after the Plenary Lecture. Itʼs a great opportunity to
meet old friends or to make new acquaintances.
Entertainment, complimentary beverages, and light
snacks will be available.
Tours
A number of fun and informative tours of the New Orleans
area are being offered during, before, and after the
Conference. Tickets for various tours may be purchased
on site at the tour booth (located next to the Pittcon store).
Google New Orleans tours to get a good idea of the types,
times, and prices of available tours.
Exposition Floor/Poster Mixers on
Tuesday and Thursday
There will be complimentary mixers on the Exposition floor
on Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday,
from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in booths 1258, 2231, Jackson
Square, 5407, and 6754. Take a break from your busy day
to rejuvenate and network. We have ice cream, liquid
refreshments and in Jackson Square, beignets and cafe
au lait. The Conference Committee would like to thank you
for attending Pittcon 2008.
