The rabbis tell us to say 100 blessings a day. In the daily liturgy, there is a list of blessings
thanking God for many aspects of our lives, physically and spiritually. Following is one of these
blessings. Children can be encouraged to add their own blessings as well.
On Mondays and Thursday, Jews all over the world read Torah. During the week, we
read part of the parashah (Torah portion) that will be read the following Shabbat
morning. In your school, you may decide to have a Torah service on a Monday or
Thursday, or you may make it part of the school’s pre-Shabbat celebration on Fridays.
