4. It is understood that the job evaluation system and accompanying pay rates are not arbitrable,<br />

pursuant to the Crown Employees <strong>Collective</strong> Bargaining Act.<br />

12. KILOMETRIC RATES<br />

Amend Article 13 as follows:<br />

ARTICLE 13 – KILOMETRIC RATES<br />

13.1 If an employee is required to use his or her own automobile on the Employer’s business, the<br />

following rates shall be paid effective January 1, 2009:<br />

Kilometres Driven Southern Ontario Northern Ontario<br />

0 – 4,000 km 40 cents / km 41 cents / km<br />

4,001 – 10,700 km 35 cents / km 36 cents / km<br />

10,701 – 24,000 km 29 cents / km 30 cents / km<br />

over 24,000 km 24 cents / km 25 cents / km<br />

13. GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE<br />

Add new Appendix regarding the Ministry File Review Committee and amend Article 22 as<br />

follows:<br />

ARTICLE 22 - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE<br />

22.3 STAGE TWO<br />

22.3.1 If the complaint or difference is not resolved under Stage One, the employee may file a grievance, in<br />

writing, through the Union, with their immediate supervisor who will in turn forward the grievance<br />

to the senior human resources representative for the ministry or his or her designee.<br />

22.6.4 The Union shall advise the senior human resources representative for the affected ministries with<br />

copies to the Director, Centre for Employee Relations of the Union Stewards together with the<br />

areas they are authorized to represent, which list shall be updated at least every six (6) months.<br />

The ministry will advise the Union corporately when the senior human resources representative<br />

for the ministry changes.<br />
