Jennifer Nansteel is moving to Boston
to begin her residency at the Tufts New
England Medical Center in internal
medicine. She looks forward to connecting
with her old friends and classmates
from Episcopal who are living in the
greater Boston area.

Drew Calder graduated from Penn
State/Dickinson School of Law in
May 2006 and subsequently passed
the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar
exams. Currently, she is working as a
litigation associate for Bennett, Bricklin
& Saltzburg in Philadelphia. Drew married
Zachary Long on October 7, 2006
in Christ Chapel at Episcopal. Reverend
Squire presided. Maureen (Stachowski)
Griffin ’95 was the matron of honor.
The reception was held at Merion Golf
Club. Drew and Zachary now reside in
Lawrenceville, NJ.
James Casey, Paul O’Conner, and Marshall
Sebring visited Bradd Haley in
Iceland this January. Bradd is studying
marine pathogens in Reykjavik as
part of the Fulbright Scholar Program.
James is self-employed in New York
City, Paul is in his second year at the
London Business School, and Marshall
is a vice president and fixed income
portfolio manager at BlackRock in
New York City.
Ryan Gelbach recently made a career
change from the fashion industry and is
working for Prudential Fox & Roach as
a full time realtor’s assistant in Rittenhouse
Square.

Katy Haas married Mark Wallacavage
on August 2, 2003. They have two
children, Isabel, born June 1, 2004,
and Gabriel, born September 8, 2006.
Katy is now a stay-at-home mom raising
her beautiful children and living in
Philadelphia.
Annie (Brown) Wagoner and her husband
Brian welcomed their first baby,
Jack Carter Wagoner, on December 14,
2006. Jack was born at 1:09 p.m. and
weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. The proud grandfather
is Tony Brown ’71.

Andrew Addis married Lauren Elizabeth
Anrig at the Church of Holy
Trinity in Rittenhouse Square on
December 9, 2006. D’Arcy O’Neill
’98, Patrick O’Neill, Jeff Porter, Trevor
Walker, and Jeff Addis ’02 were in the
wedding party.
Casey Halpern was selected by the faculty
at the University of Pennsylvania
for the school’s neurosurgery training
program. Casey completed his
undergraduate work at Penn and will be
awarded his M.D in May from Penn, as
well. He will begin his internship as a
prelude to a six-year residency in neurological
surgery in June 2007.
Catherine Hunt will graduate from Harvard
University’s Kennedy School of
Government in June and has accepted a
job at Bechtel Enterprises, a private equity
firm in Washington, DC.
Amanda McDermott married Mark
DeGenova on October 7, 2006 at the
Avalon Yacht Club. Amanda owns Sole
Motive, a women’s shoe boutique in
Clermont, NJ.
Sarah Smith is working with a federally
funded education program to set
up a teacher training system throughout
Liberia.

Rebecca Allen returned to the United
States in November after spending
two years with Campus Outreach in
Johannesburg, South Africa. She is currently
enrolled in the MA program of
international development at Eastern
University.
Rachael Garrett graduated magna cum
laude from Boston University in 2003
with a dual major in environmental
analysis and policy and history. She
received her MPA in environmental
science and policy from Columbia University
in 2006. Rachael is currently an
environmental consultant with Green
Restaurant Association in Boston, MA.
She helps approximately 300 restaurants
around the country achieve ecological
sustainability by providing concrete solutions
for energy and water efficiency,
waste generation, natural resource and
chemical use, and sustainable food.
Ben Rogers married Candice Chandler
on February 3, 2007.

Elizabeth Pillion is a business development
associate with Clearbrook
Investment Management Services, an
independent investment platform located
in Princeton, NJ. She also volunteers
with the Princeton women’s lacrosse
team.
Lisa Smith returned to campus this
spring to speak to the Upper School
students during chapel. She spoke of
her experience as a U.S. Peace Corps
volunteer stationed in Morocco. A transcript

Courtney Gatter is a sales representative
for VWR International. VWR services
the industrial, government, life science,
education, electronics and pharmaceutical
markets as a leading worldwide
distributor of scientific equipment, supplies,
chemicals and furniture. Courtney’s
territory is southwest Virginia, including
Virginia Tech, her alma mater.
Jake McKeon graduated cum laude
from Middlebury College last spring
with a degree in English and political
philosophy. He moved to San Francisco
at the end of October to take a job
at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati,
a corporate law firm based in Palo Alto
that represents much of Silicon Valley.
His group at the firm focuses heavily on
technology startups, IPO’s, mergers and
acquisitions, and corporate governance
issues.

class president of Cornell University and
