Grade Classification
Grade of an exhibitor is the grade they have
completed during the current 4-H year. The 4-H
year goes from October 1 st to September 30 th .
You must have completed Grade 3 in order to
show a Horse or Pony at the Fair.
Size Classification
Height measurement at the withers should be
carefully determined when making entries as
class changes are not allowed and the entry
could be disqualified. Ponies must be 56” and
under, Mini must be 38” and under.

Top Showmanship Award
The Fond du Lac County 4-H Horse Project
sponsors a $50.00 Savings Bond Award for top
showperson in the Showmanship Contest. Fond
du Lac County 4-H Project will award a Grand
and Reserve Trophy. All top blue winners are
eligible to compete for this award with the
exception of Horseless Horse members and any
previously awarded members. This is a one-time
award. The judge(s) at the Thursday show will
choose the recipients.
