easonable wear and tear, that is the result
of an inappropriate action(s) by exhibitor.
14. Willfully leave the activity under the control
or instructions of a parent or guardian, if so
requested by the chaperon in charge, due to
unacceptable action or behavior by
exhibitor.
15. Acknowledge that if the exhibitor becomes
involved in any unlawful act, the appropriate
law enforcement authorities will be notified.
16. Youth exhibitors must be responsible for
their personal property.
Fair Disciplinary Guidelines
Below are disciplinary actions to be taken if
youth exhibitor violates the Code of Ethics. The
degree of violation will dictate the disciplinary
action.
1. Youth exhibitor to be sent home immediately
and overnight privilege suspended for
remainder of current Fair.
2. Youth exhibitor and exhibits to be sent
home, withdrawal of all premium money and
auction money and suspended from further
exhibiting at current Fair.
3. Same as #2 plus, exhibitor placed on
probation for the next year’s County Fair.
4. Same as #2 plus, exhibitor would not be
able to represent the county at current
year’s Wisconsin State Fair and/or not be
allowed to exhibit at next year’s County Fair.
5. Same as #4 plus, youth cannot exhibit at
next year’s County Fair.
6. Same as #5 plus, proper authorities will be
notified if a violation of applicable federal,
state, or municipal law is involved.
JUNIOR AND OPEN EXHIBITS
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Rules and regulations of the constitution and
bylaws of the Fond du Lac County Agricultural
Society will be enforced and will govern all
exhibits, copy of which may be secured from the
Fair Board.
Exhibitors and Exhibits
1. Entries in the Fond du Lac County Fair
are open to residents of the County and
members of adult and youth groups
organized within and which is part of
Fond du Lac County.
2. All exhibits must be in place after the
designated date of judging and must
stay in place until 6:00 p.m. Sunday
evening of the Fair. Market Livestock
project animals should be in place by
2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and will be
released at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday to be
sent to the slaughter facility.
3. Copy each entry named as it is in the
list, giving department, division, class,
and description. The entry blank may be
obtained at the UW- Extension Office, or

at the Fair Office located at the
Fairgrounds.
4. Exhibitors will confer a favor on the
officers of the Society by making their
entries as early as possible.
5. Entry tags will be picked up by a
designated date set by the Fair Office.
When you get your entry tags, see that
they correspond with the entries you
have made and that you have the right
number of tags.
6. Make sure all items have their entry tags
securely attached to the project prior to
arriving at the Fairgrounds. The Fair
Board will dispose of exhibit not called
for by the end of the day on Sunday
evening.
7. Exhibits must keep their stalls open and
their stock uncovered between the
hours of 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.,
during each day of the exhibition.
8. When purchasing market animals for
exhibition and sale, you must obtain a
signed and dated receipt of purchase
from the seller. The receipt must
include any identification information
that is available (for example, birth date,
ear notch, etc.). If needed at a later
date, the burden of ownership proof will
be on the exhibitor and will include an
original receipt of purchase. Home
raised animals need to be able to
present records of ownership and
identification information (See IAFE
National Code of Show Ring Ethics on
page 7).
9. Any exhibitors, or friend or relative of
any exhibitor, who interferes with any
judge or superintendent in their work in
any way, will cause the exhibits of said
exhibitor to be absolutely disqualified
from receiving any award or prize.
10. Entries in the Junior Department will be
made at the Fair Office, County
Fairgrounds. Open entries will also be
made at the Fair Office. See enclosed
dates on front of the book. Make entries
early.
11. No leader or club may withhold a Fair
Premium check; the Fond du Lac
County Fair Board may be the only ones
that may withhold a premium check.
12. Any emergency not provided for in these
rules and in the Constitution and Bylaws
of the Society shall be referred to the
Fair Board and their decision shall be
final.
13. All exhibitors in Open Class must pay an
exhibitor fee, which includes a season
